Our 4 year post-graduate naturopathic medical training is very similar to conventional medical training, however our philosophies differ in that we:

  • Aim above all, to do no harm.
  • Strive to find and treat the cause of your illness.
  • Treat the whole person.
  • Use the healing power of nature.
  • Teach our patients the tools of self-health care.
  • Practice prevention as the best cure.

As a family practice primary care physician, I am trained and licensed to perform necessary physical exams, review your history and patient records, and order appropriate labs to properly diagnose and treat your concerns.  I welcome working with your MD, and will not hesitate to refer to specialists as needed.

My pharmacy includes an extensive botanical medicine formulary of over 300 herbs,  homeopathic remedies, nutritional supplements, and tools for using food as medicine. I am known for offering bites of fermented food or a sample of fresh almond milk, or sending you out the door with a freshly infused quart of your prescribed herbal tea and a bone broth. I may suggest you borrow the office juicer for a 7 day cleanse. In addition, I also prescribe bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and prescription medications when necessary.

My techniques include physical exam, naturopathic manipulation, craniosacral therapy, muscle energy technique, hydrotherapy, ultrasound therapy, neural therapy, nutrition evaluation and education, lifestyle counseling, and listening. I also hold the additional Hawaii state credentials needed for Nutritional IV therapy and Minor Surgery.
