I started on this path as a kid, gathering edible wild plants with my father. This blossomed into a passion for botanical medicine-making, wildcrafting, and a career as a NYC herbalist that lasted more than a decade.
A desire to combine my traditional herbal knowledge with science led me back to college where I graduated with honors from CUNY’s Hunter College with a BS in Nutrition. I went on to earn my Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University in Washington graduating in 2007.
For 14 years, I enjoyed a thriving Naturopathic Medicine Private Practice in Captain Cook, Hawaii, and in September of 2021, my husband (an avid birder) and I made the decision to move to where the birds are, and we relocated to North Florida near St. Marks Wildlife Refuge, the home of 240 bird species.
We now reside on 13 acres surrounded by hundreds of birds and native plants, and with the help of the internet and telemedicine, I am able continue to offer Naturopathic Telehealth to Hawaii residents.
Much Aloha and healthy regards,
Margaret Dexter Waldbauer, ND
Note: At this time, the State of Florida does not license Naturopathic Doctors, so my services are available to Hawaii residents only.
